Oil on Canvas by Raymond Dauphin (1910-1995)
An abstract painting by Belgium artist Raymond Dauphin on canvas in oil. Dauphin who settled in St. Paul de Vence, surrounded by contemporaries such as Matisse and Modigliani, mastered his application of oil and honed his craft. He had a lifetime in the art world and sold works at the Palais Des-Beaux-Arts-Servarts in Brussels as well as having a solo show in 1975 at the Musee Picasso, Antibes. This work looks to be around 1960's era.
