"Perpetua" Lamp by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Flos, 1981
Incredible lamp designed by Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Flos in 1981. The Perpetua lamp is a semi portable lamp which charges in it's white base. An anodized grey stem leads to a halogen bulb, which sits under a disk that can be positioned via a spherical track. The whole thing lifts off it's charging base and can be used for 20-30 mins without a power cable. Hard to believe it's a 1981 design.
